History of the department

The Department of Chemistry is one of the oldest at the university, which was organized in 1934 at the Uralsk Pedagogical Institute by Irdan Nigmetovich Azerbaev, doctor of chemical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR.

Azerbaev I.N. was originally from Western Kazakhstan Saykhin station. The formation and development of various areas of organic chemistry in Kazakhstan: coal chemistry, petrochemistry, acetylene chemistry and fine organic synthesis are associated with the name of I.Azerbaev. In the years of work in different universities and NIIK-on, Irdan Nigmetovich constantly maintained close contact with the department, helped in the formation and training of scientific personnel, teachers.

The first head of the department of chemistry was M.I. Kozlovskaya.

The Department of Chemistry in different years worked: Candidate of Sciences G. Potlova, L. Beysembayeva - students of an outstanding academician, creator of the catalytic school of Kazakhstan of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR Sokolsky D.V., Rodina M.V., Anbrokh R.B., Lakeeva G.A., Strokova Z.P. - student of the famous scientist-analyst Lyalikova Yu.S., Baishiganov EB, Cherevatova N.K.- student of I.N.Azerbaev, who has 2 copyright certificates on azobicyclononanes, exhibiting anti-tuberculosis activity; AP Bochkova, a student of the outstanding biochemist Yu. B. Filippovich, B. Dzhumakaeva, whose scientific work is devoted to catalysis; teachers: Malikova G.A., Kartashova V.F., Borisova Z.A., Bekova Z.N., Orlova R.I .; Kh.Habiev U.K .: Laboratory assistants Bannova NN, Zakotov NN
